§ 412.06. PAYMENT OF BILL; REMEDY FOR NONPAYMENT.

A person liable for the costs and expenses of an emergency response shall pay the bill submitted by the City Treasurer, as set forth in Section 412.05, within thirty days of receipt of the bill. If payment is not received by the City within that thirty–day period, the Mayor or the City Council may instruct the City Attorney to institute a civil action on behalf of the City to recover the costs and expenses of the response and court costs and attorney fees incurred in the collection of the debt.
